Looking back at the 6-plus months at The Local Vapor, it is apparent that we have two varieties of customers. On one hand we have a customer coming in to learn how to use the device, fill the clearomizer with juice, replace the coil when needed, and walk out puffing on their new purchase with the ease of hitting a button. On the other hand, we have more experienced customers looking to purchase a brand new mechanical mod and rebuildable atomizer. They take joy in wrapping their own coils to their sub-ohm preference and dripping their juice to create a ploom that would make a Cumulus cloud blush.
There wasn't much of a middle-ground. If a novice customer wanted to take the plunge and enter the world of sub-ohm vaping, they would have to learn the safeties of high-drain batteries and the proper resistance of the coils they were going to be wrapping on their new rebuildable atomizer. This can be learned quickly for some, but for others it seems to be a bit more involved than what they were planning for.
That is, until now...over the last few months, the transition just became a lot more user-friendly. Kangertech has designed the Subtank, and Aspire has produced the Atlantis tank, both of which are made for use of sub-ohm coils, and can produce a larger and more flavorful cloud of vapor.
